Sliding scale:

$200 – $360 per week

Come explore nature and science in the city…

Our places:

  • McLaren Park is huge and has a variety of elevations and habitats to explore
  • Tuesday afternoons we will visit Mission Science Center in the Excelsior
  • Thursday afternoons we will head to the library to research our questions and read what grabs our attention
  • Occasional field trips will via public transit and are based on weather, the tide calendar and other interesting opportunities that pop up!
  • Field trips: Pacifica tide-pools, Cal Academy, Exploratorium, Randall Museum, San Bruno Mountain, SF Botanical Garden…and more!
  • Intention to follow the group’s interests into larger projects as they develop

Our guides:

  • A fellow parent / wildlife scientist / nature docent
  • Experience in homeschooling, unschooling and building forest schools and self directed learning centers
  • Coyote’s Guide nature awareness framework
  • Trustline and CPR certified
  • Intended ratio of 1 adult : 4 kids
